Personally if you want performance but not the sound, I would get the Pop-charger rather than the z-tube. The z-tube hasn't been proven to add HP, but it does make it much louder. The pop-charger is more expensive, but adds about 6rwhp with minimal sound increase. I have both, but had the pop-charger first and that's how I based my opinion. Peace.

omg, it does not make it a lot louder.i barely noticed any difference.there is still another resonator at the bottom....

 

After I installed the Z-tube and JWT Pop charger, it made a HUGE difference at WOT. My gf was actually complaining that it was too loud! Also, whenever I have any kind of throttle, I hear a slight blow off valve sound that is barely audible from the cabin. Hard to tell if I actually gained the 5 extra ponies to the wheels. The noticeable difference is the engine sound and the looks when you pop the hood.

i think everyone is just imagining that they have this loud sound after the install of a z tube, but in reality there is still another resonator on the intake at the bottom. how can possibly be as loud as what everyone says?

 

I think it's alot louder too.. the pssst sound that the pop charger makes after 1k rpm can be both cool and annoying sometimes.

The sound after 4k rpm is ALOT louder to me - i have to test one day with my friends stock coupe to hear the difference to see if it's all in the mind.

Overall though, it's a good mod

 

does only the pop charger make the psst sound or does the z tube make it too? What if you got the pop charger with stock intake tube, is it still loud.

 

Side question: What's the best intake to get if you don't want low end noises?
