G insurance

hey guys, i've narrowed it down to an 05 or 06 coupe, but have an insurance question...the insurance is DOUBLE for an 05 than it is for an 06...anyone have a reason? i called progressive and they didn't have an answer either, just said it may be based on safety features in the 06 compared to the 05. I thought they were similiar. Thanks for the help

That is really strange... To my knowledge all of the safety features are the same. Unless they consider projector headlights and Bluetooth safety features...

hey it's depend on your age and years of driving... every year your insurance will drop.. try to get family packet.. that will help you save alot of money.. bring your parent, brothers, sisters all in 1 packet..

and make sure you don't let them know if you mod your car! HAHA I had Mercury and they sent me a notice of cancellation after an accident they came to the conclusion that my car was too low to the ground.

Insurance Costs....?

Who knows why insurance companys do whatever it is they do. I know they
gladly take our money! But I also know you need to shop around for coverage
on your car, check with Auto Club. My son saved $800 a year by switching
from Farmers to Auto Club, that a chunk of change.

$570/yr State Farm with multi line discount, 500/500 deductable, 27yrs old no accidents. Can't beat the good life in South Dakota!

What suprised me is my 03 Eclipse GTS was slightly more expensive to cover. When I got my '06 G35c 6MT, they added some safety discount and somehow it ended up being cheaper. Same thing happened when I went from a Geo Metro to a Z24 Cavalier. They said that Metros get totaled too often so the ins on a Cavalier was cheaper.
