So you will have $600 to save. If I were you, do not mod the G(Performance wise). It will be WAY to expensive. Just buy tint, wheels, and good rubber. And if you want, an exhaust and intake for sound. But that is all. If you can bank $450 a month and invest $300 of that $450, you will be somewhat golden. Your savings will be $5400 a year minimum not including your investments. That is what i would do if I were you and wanted the car.

do what he said. tint, wheels, lower it, new tires, etc. i would mod the exterior only.

buy a car you can afford (not a G35 or Z). Go to school, and then buy a nice car.

Well it depends on how much you are able to afford. Not trying to convince people not to get a G35. Trying to tell people that if they can afford it. Do what you want to it, but living pay check to pay check kind of sucks. I don't think that kind of living is worth it for a car.

I did it in a course of 3 years. You are correct will not be able to put that kind of money all in at once. I was just saying that I put the rest of my money towards my future. I put all of my funds into different types of IRA's through Ameriprise.

Finally the montlhy payment will be upwards of $400, unless you lease it then you really wont be able to do much to it... Think about it and see what you can do. When i was 18 The coupe was to be released the next year, the 03 that is, i didnt get one until 2007 at 22 ^_^. But you know theres house, health insurance, water, light, BLAH BLAH BLAH so....Good luck.
