Some questions for coupe owners

So with the coupe being such a low car itself, how many of you have a hard time NOT getting careless scratches under the front bumper? So far, the second week having the car, I have a couple already Careless errors on driveways and those parking bumps. I drove an SUV before and this is going to take some time getting used to...

Also, I am wondering if this is normal...for those of you with the keyless FOB. I have an A/T and I used to have to press down the break pedal to start up the car. Otherwise, the **** wouldn't turn all the way and a green "key" icon would light up. Today, I could start it up without pressing down the break. Is this normal??? This is really really bugging the hell out of me.

And then there's the window auto pinch feature. The driver side doesn't go down the 1/2 or 1/4 inch anymore. It barely "auto" moves down when I open the door. I did park at one of those Central Parking lots in Manhattan yesterday and I have been noticing all these problems. I suspect they caused all this (except for the scratches under bumper). Am I going crazy?

1. This is a problem for most coupe owners, especially those who are lowered. Just go slowly into parking spaces and stop a little short of where you think you should - you probably will be far enough into the spot anyway. One way i use to judge how far is enough is to look at an adjacent parking stop / curb and see how far below my driver's side mirror (eyesight measurement). i use that as a guide when pulling into spaces. if i'm too close, the adjacent stop will be further below my mirror than when i park just right .
2. Dunno - go see the dealer.
3. That shouldn't happen - go see the dealer.

when you enter into driveways, ALWAYS go at an angle.

Hate when I have those off days with parking stops too. Do what's been suggested.

Now can start without foot on brake...dealer visit, warranty fix.

Window issue when opening door...had this too. Warranty fix. They first replaced motor, then later replaced window regulator. No more issues.

My 06 5AT starts without having my foot on the brake! just hold in the ignition switch for a second then turn, hell when out side i stick my head thru the door lay the fob on the seat and start it up now it wont go in gear unless my foot is on the break! Let us know what the dealer say anyways cause mine may be broke as well!

I've driving the FX35 for many years, after 10 minutes of picking up my coupe and the 1st parking attempt, I got a long scratch on the lower part of the front bumper

On the second day, I decided to back up instead, and ended up with big scratch on the rear mud flab.

I now enter the parking lot like an old lady.

it is normal for the car to start up without having your foot on the brake.
