350Z Suspension
Re: 350Z Suspension
I dont think the 350z springs/struts will lower the coupe at all. The z springs are just stiffer, and the struts are more agressive.
Go drive a 350z and that will tell you how the G drives w/ the Z springs and struts.
I really recomend this mod, it definitly makes a night and day difference over the stock sport suspension.
make shure u get the springs/struts off an 04 350z w/ a build date after 11/30/04.

Re: 350Z Suspension
Actually this brings up a question I've been curious about but haven't had a chance to jack up my car and take a look.....do we also have a carbon fiber drive shaft like the Z?

No, no cf driveshaft, plus on the z the drive shaft is just renforced w/ cf.

Re: 350Z Suspension
350Z springs are the same as on the coupe, same height too. Where the difference lies is in the valving on the shocks, with the Z getting much more aggressive valving. A couple of Z owners have put on Couple shocks to lesson the bounce they have with the oem Z shocks. Only trade off is the car's abilities are toned down to with the milder shocks. The sedan is the model that has taller springs, though the sport model has the same spring rates as the Z and G coupe since it's springs are taller, the rates to quite equate the same when compressed in travel. Non sport sedan's use about 10% softer springs and softer still shocks (much softer IMO).
I have the 350Z suspension on my sedan. The performance is much better than the oem setup, improved in several key areas. But thank god for that, if the roads less then smooth, it get quite a bit of bounce. If the handling was so much better and I got the setup for a song. I would have pulled the Z suspension off the car a long long time ago. I'm waiting for Tokico D-spec double adjustable shocks to fix the bounce and give even better performance.
