I know this has been discussed before, but does anybody else find 1st gear too short? Not driving aggresively, like less than 1/4 throttle, it always shifts around 3-3.5K rpm. I dunno, maybe it's just me

i can be so easy on the throttle that the car goes from 1st - 4th without reving much past 2k. i thought that was the weirdest thing in the world...never driven a car like this before.

when i'm passing, it'll downshift and it'll be around 4-5k until i ease up on the gas.

In manual mode, its OK for me. The revs on this engine just build so quick that you have to watch it. I guess I'd rather have this gear ratio and get quick launches. In auto mode, I barely notice the 1-2 shift.

 

I see that sometimes too. It totally depends on how much gas you give it from take-off. Jam the pedal down all the way and you will almost redline at the 1-2 shift (if not try the battery reset trick). Push it down very little and it will shift mid 2K, give it more (mid pedal) and you will get that 3.5-4k shift . . .

It's fun b/c you can train it to drive aggressive or slow and smooth!

How close to breakin are you? You may have trained it to be "whimpy" b/c you did the easy breakin. You can reset the memory or just drive around for a while giving it a lot of gas on take-off and it will balance out . . .
