Just got a new 6mt 2004 coupe with Premium-Aero-splash. When the stereo is up the mirror vibrates a lot. We are not even talking turning it above level 18.

Anyone else notice this and are there any fixes?

 

turn the bass down....my sideviews vibrate too....nothing u can do, its the vibration of sound not the car

my side and rearviews vibrate at even 15. but i have my bass turned up a little above the 0 mark.

i had the same problem on my 03... it took forever to figure out the source, it had sounded like the dash. anyway, the dealer found it and it was a quick fix... see if you can get a tech to go on a test drive, it should be easy to identify & resolve.

 

Really? The dealership here still can't figure out how to fix after my sixth visit for rattle fix....

 

Jeffjcalweb, can you post any other details on what they did to fix the rattling your rearview mirror? I called a car stereo place and they placed some dynamat (sound dampening tape) behind the mirror. It's reduced the rattling some, but the problem is not completely solved. Would appreciate further input. Thanks.

 

I am thrilled right now. The dealer REPLACED my rearview mirror today. WOO HOO!! No more jingles!!!! I drove all the way home with the stereo off. No noise whatsoever. The dealer worked on it two previous times, but it only muffled the sound. Then it got worse!!! I finally told them I wanted it replaced if they could not stop the noise. They replaced it without any questions. I am a very happy camper now. ;-)

sorry for the delayed response... let me see if the dealer wrote down the exact fix, it was about 3 months ago. if i can find more info i'll post it tomorrow (4/28/04)

 

Mine does all the time. I have the bass and treble at max.
