I'll just start by saying that I'm retarded. I fishtailed around a turn in second gear...swung the car around and barely pulled out of it...almost went over the side (5 foot drop off)...but fortunately I pulled out and saved the car from going over...but scratched the sh*t out of my front right rim. What can I do...? Can I get it refinished...? Or do I have to buy a new one...? Any ideas would be appreciated. Hope you all have a good weekend and drive safe.

 

dang! glad your ok and the your G too. Just a scraped up rim? That's nothing, just think if you did go over that drop and made a 35k+ mistake.

this just gives you a reason to get some nice clean after market rims [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] or you can just order a new one from infiniti.

A simmilar thing happened to me, except I slid into a ditch after I got the rear end back. But, I did get some new rims. I am contemplating wether to get the old ones refinished. Transwheel is where all of the body shops reccomend sending the wheel. I called them, and they can refinish the wheel, but you need to send all 4 to them so thay can make sure they will be a matched set when you get them back.

Maybe later when they perfect the finish on these new wheels you can just send in the one.

 

Going over a drop might flip the car.. which could wind up being a 35k + Medical mistake. A scratched rim is a proverbial slap-on-the-wrist.
