I'm trading in my Celica GTS for a G35 coupe by the beginning of May. I think black looks really sexxxxy, but everyone says it's a bad choice because it shows everything. Plus, I go to college and live on campus, so it wouldn't be garaged for the majority of the year. What's the next hottest color to get? I like DG, but white is nice too. I can't decide!!!

I still have my Black Celica GT Conv but I told myself I would never get a black car again. It does look nice, but it shows everything. I went with the DG in the Coupe, but white is nice too. I like the red but would never get it.

I say black shows everything bad, but hides all thats good. The lines of the G don't deserve the color black. Black does look mean and sexy, but it hides the lines. I wouldn't trade in my BS coupe for anything (unless somebody wants to cough up 9k for Daytona Blue).

Don't go by what everyone else says. Go to a dealer and look at the cars.

Yeah I did go to a dealer and look at the cars, and all of them looked nice, but only 2 of them had navigation which is a must. They were black and DG so I'm probaby going to buy the DG. Red looks nice, but my celica is red so i want to try something new.

lol welcome to my world. i have no idea what color to pick either, i actually started a thread about twilight blue which is a great color. SIXONE, since u think black kills the nice lines of the G do you feel the same about the twilight blue??
My other choice is defffff IP its a gorgeous white. i love BS too but my car now is the exact same silver and i'd really just like a change and DG to me is hot but for some reasons it never looks reallllllly reallllly clean u know wat i mean

 

I've had a Silver TL-S, then traded that in for a D.Platinumb 2003.5 Sedan...I recently traded in my sedan for a 6mt cpe sport...Almost got the black but it's a b***h to clean, you see every scratch and rock chip...if someone dings you it's noticeable..if someone's going to be an A** and want's to key the car...it's noticeable...I said, OK I'm done with silvers so I went with Pearl White! It's up to you..go with your gut feeling man...! I considered red too but tha was too flashy for me...POST PICS! When you pick up your G -

I like IP too, but when i went to the dealer, he said finding a 6 speed iin that color s hard bc mostly girls want white, and more girls drive automatic. Well, yes im a girl...but i drive stick!!!

I liked all the G colors. My choices in order were Laser Red, Diamond Graphite, Black Obsidian.

Black was for the hard to clean factor and scratches, etc.

Laser Red was way too much of a cop magnet.

So DG was the way to go and I've never regretted it...except not getting the Nav

Don't get the white. Cuz then I'd be jealous.

 

If it's not going to be garaged kept I would stick with a color that is easy to maintain (DG, silver, white etc).

Black will require way too much work and you'll be in for a lot of work with the "brake dust" alone!! I have the brembo's and the amount of brake dust it accumulates is amazing....

I live in Vancouver and pearl white is the hot color in demand here. If you plan to keep this car for a long time, also consider some colors to be fads....thus 4-5 years from now make sure you get a color which still looks good.

I'd go with Pearl White...it's eye catching, shows the lines...and has a very sporty touch...but then again I'm biased too.

I bought the white. I just think that the way that the car sparkles in the sun is simply amazing. My only regrets are the the rock protector in front of the rear wheel collects dirt like a b*tch and rock chips on the bumper show really bad. The car itself in white is so SEXY though!

hehe, another celica owner going the way of the G...I'm doing the same thing...gotta step up ya' know? I would say definitely go with DG....awesome color...but you're right it looks damn sexy in black, but hard as hell to keep clean and shows everything.

 

i got black and i love it. i haven't washed it yet cuz i know the swirl marks are eventually gonna build up. but i decided, i'm gonna hand-wash it time to time and when it starts looking raggity, i'm just gonna pay and get my car detailed. as for any dings and chips, any color car i have whether it shows or not, it will bother me cause i will KNOW its there. i was stuck between IP and BO...i went with the black.
