Under 250 miles per tank??? WTF
Mpg
Oftentimes I get exactly 20mpg. At about 330 miles per tank at 16.5 gallons. I think alot of people tend to have a heavy foot from time to time...like every time it's necessary to accelerate...lol I don't drive like Grandma, and I drive about 70% city, 30% highway.

Thanks for that checklist, itgogitrev.
I'm at 42,000 and replacing the filter comes at 45k, so I'll probably get that replaced today when I stop into the dealership. They also have a suspicion that my fuel gauge is wrong. The service guy said "I see it all the time on these cars." Any one else ever heard of that? Or is he feeding me some sh-t? He was like "besides the air filter there's nothing else I can test". He also mentioned "the fuel filters in our cars never get changed."
Anyways, to test if I have a bad fuel gauge, since I'm at just above 1/4 tank remaining, I'm going to fill it up. I should be putting in close to 15 gallons if the gauge is correct.
lol, I'm at 1/4 tank left and have only gone 170 miles... sucks!
Actually now that I think about it, the last time I filled up, I paid about $70 and the needle was pretty damn close to Empty. Premium gas out here is about $4.85. That means I only put in 14.4 gallons. So I guess he could be right and my gauge is off by 6 or so gallons? I'll do a MPG test next time...

My air filter, tire pressure checks out just fine. I'm going to do a solid MPG test this weekend on my 600 mile drive. It'll be a costly experiment. Hopefully I'll get it figured out soon though... If I'm not getting AT LEAST 18 per gallon, I'm leaving it at the dealership, it's under warranty. That's just ridiculous... I have a feeling that's how it's going to be though.

Consider this:
100,000 miles driven at 17mpg (me) = ~5882 gallons of gas
100,000 miles driven at 14mpg (Beebo) = ~7143 gallons of gas
100,000 miles driven at 30mpg (Civic) = ~3333 gallons of gas
At $5/gallon, Beebo will pay $6,305 more for his car than I will over 100,000 miles, and $19,050 more than a 30mpg Civic owner.
I'll "only" pay $12,745 more than the Civic owner.

It's a 20 gallon tank, says Edmonds and my service guy at Infiniti. I suppose my manual would say also :P
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...7/pageId=59425
Also according to Edmonds, at my current mpg (14) at least I'm over the "worst"
Best Fuel Economy: 23.2 mpg
Worst Fuel Economy: 13.3 mpg
Average Fuel Economy (over the life of the vehicle): 15.7 mpg
Ouch. Although mine is a 2006, not sure how much difference that would make, probably minimal.

i'm averaging 300 miles/tank 04 5AT, but last time i had a road trip driving 1800 mile road trip i was getting 100miles every 1/4 tank. So rough estimate 375 a tank because usually the last 1/4 tank goes quick for me..... i got 68k on my odometer, and I drive like there's a brick on my shoe.
