2nd thoughts about geting g
I love these cars to death but im reading up on all the problem they have and I'm thinking about geting somthing else. My other choice wase a 05 maxima.
It suks I might not get the g, just because of all these problems. I'm still reading, hoping to find info that would convince me to go ahead with the purchase(realy love these cars).
This my first post, sorry its so long. Thanks for all the info, now I know what I might be getting into.

If the dealer was looking at an $800 repair with car sales down 50% right now over same period last year and I came in late, you can bet they'd see that as income.
Point is don't assume when you picked the car up was its delivery date. I have found they recorded another date for service date.
Wow I love this thread.
Decided to check it out just for the heck of it before I completely void my warranty (I'm scheduled to get twins put in next week as soon as my back-ordered clutch shows up
)
and what do you know? cylinders #2 and #6 are leaking. Just a little, but I'm driving an 06 with 25K miles on it so it's still kind of early.
Called up the dealer and I'm getting all new valve covers under warranty
And they didn't say a word about all my mods

Most are trying to get warranty as the covers are not inexpensive, but it would be pretty easy job, just takes some time to get all the junk out of the way. If you've changed plugs before you're easily halfway there or more.
Mods should not matter unless they are directly related to the problem at hand, and I cannot think of any mod that impacts this problem.
I am going to assume your tt from your name and i would highly doubt they would cover most things under warranty anymore. Thats a risk you take.
Your correct, but with boost its a different story especially since oil is at play. They might cover it since its a known problem, but the guy needs to be tactful when speaking to them. I had mine done and i had the high flows on the z tube and popcharger and also the ses exhuast. Nothing to influence blow by on the spark plug.
It is highly doubtful that they would warranty anything engine related if it was FI.
69,000 and a little wet in the outer ring around the spark tubes on cylinders 5 and 6
It was barely anything, but the start of the problem.
Infiniti of Raleigh replaced both gaskets under warranty. I'm happy, that's a lot better than me paying for it when it became a real problem!
Pull your coils and LOOK carefully, with a flashlight BEFORE 70,000 miles!!!
AT LEAST CHECK just the rearmost tube on the passenger side, that's easy enough to do in under 10 minutes! Just pull the coil and look!
If it looks wet, it probably is! Dab a Q-tip in to be sure if you want to.
