Actually 04 was 280HP, at least if you had an MT

And I'd add:
03-04 270 ft.lbs of torque
05 260 ft.lbs

I think he forgot to mention that all of the above applies to 6mt models, only.
like the user above him said, if you have an auto, you're NON-REV UP, no matter what year you have.

fll my question is answered i was wondering if mine was rev-up...but from the looks of it is it better to just have an 04 and avoid oil consuption issues? or do the 20hp or so make that much of a difference?

298 hp not 290

Oh my goodness - misinformation abound.

AUTO
NONE ARE REVUP

6MT
'03-'04 NOT Revup
280hp/270ft.lbs torque

'05+
298hp/260ft.lbs torque (also a few pounds heavier)

In response to "which to get", here's my take on it from a performance/reliability standpoint:
(A) The +18 HP and a few pounds offsets the 10ft-lb torque loss. It's a wash on performance.

(B) Don't let "oil consumption" stop you from getting a Revup if that's what you want. It's a newer car, so it still has the bumper to bumper warranty. Regardless, oil consumption should be covered by the 6-year 70K mile powertrain warranty.

I recall reading that the oil consumption problem was traced to a bad batch of seals, which is why the warranty replacement revups do not have that problem.

i hate when everyone says dont get 05+ 6MT they will burn oil... it happens but its not a commen problem... if every 05+ 6MT had oil burning issues dont you think Infiniti would have a major recall?

^+1 My '05 6MT has no oil consumption issues. The only issues have been a window motor being replaced, as well as having axle click fixed, all under warrenty of course. Go with the '05+, newer car, still under warrenty and a nicer interior.
