Squeeking noise from the belts, how to fix it?
Hey guys, i just got a G35 and i was wondering if any of you guys have any tips on how to fix the squeek? Its annoying, i just bought this car but at idle and when the AC is going the belts give off a squeeking noise.

Here is a DIY for the belts. Check the tension on the belts and adjust accordingly

Question, is the write up above for Manual G35s? Is there a difference in belts? I noticed he made sure to specifically specify that it was for an auto.....

Believe belts are good for 50-60K tops.
Any part store can reference their brand to our G's.
Or go here and search on 'belts' for oem replacements:

As stated before, usually it's due to improper tension. Problem is, usually once it starts slipping, the belt gets glossed over and even if the tension is corrected, the belt's still going to slip. Sucks but usually it needs to be changed after that.... that being said...
After the belts were swapped out on my car at 33k (belts don't last in AZ), I couldn't get them to stop squeaking. I decided to ride them out and just deal with it for awhile as I was going on a trip to the midwest and such... but they eventually sort of resolved themselves... strangest thing I've ever seen. Now they never squeak at all, no cracks, not slipping and not to tight or anything...

Happened to me. Had new belts put on and the tension was not right. Tension was fixed but the belts still squeaked. I had to start over again with new belts.
Yea i just bought this car, 60k miles, but i mean the belts shouldnt cost much.
Shouldnt take long given that write up. Hehe.
