i don't personally think that counts as a kill either...it wasn't close to fair..not saying that you wouldn't beat him if it was fair..but until that time..lets keep the bragging to the minimal....

 

My position is this:

If you issue a challenge, regardless of the position that you are in, be prepared to compete. I don't think that my bragging is/was excessive nor do I think that there is anything in my post other than the facts. I did state in my post that it wasn't exactly fair for the S2K. I do object however to trolls (not neccessarily referring to you takuyaah) who don't even own a G35, who post self assuming remarks in response to posts just because they are full of themselves.

In response to the subject: It's kinda like "check-ball" in basketball. If you decide to "check" the ball, then regardless of what position you are in, if your shoe is untied, if you have a cramp in your leg, if your teammates aren't ready, once the ball is in play it's too late to dissallow a shot or win under the claim of "unfair advantage" If it had been a Ferrari or something, I thinkthat most people would have stated that it IS a kill because the car is more powerfull and is supposed to be able to walk us.IMO it's no different regardless of what car you're driving. If the S2K driver did not want to "lose" or have this counted as a "kill" then he should not have challenged me from THAT position. Even as such, no where in my post did I say that this was a KILL. nor did I put down the S2K. You guys are "KILLING" me by reading too much into it. But that is not to say that under the circumstances one should discount this as a kill. Interpret it however you wish, it's not like this changes what happened.

Agreed Kahboom. An act of aggression was committed and was answered in kind. Some have unilaterally implemented posting standards and definitions for kills and the like. I hope this doesn't discourage stories of any kind as they are enjoyable to read.

first...you didn't tell us how he was "challenging u"...did he do the thumbs up in your back mirror and hope that you saw it? revving his engine...i am not even gonna say anything...whateverz about that point...secondly...you guys raced 0-50 or 5-50 within traffic with him behind you...which makes him even slower because he has to react off YOUR reaction time since he probably didn't want to hit you...reaction time can be around half a second..so he got half a second disadvantage in the beginnig...lets say you guys cleared the traffic at 10-15 mph...which also means that you guys raced 10-50 mph with you at least 1 car length ahead of him with him a slower start at that point...i don't know man...ya..i don't have a g35...i will have one by summer....i do know physics though...not much of "another sk2 going down"...since g35 can make about 4.5 sec 0-50....so he needed to have about a 4 sec 0-50 to beat you...not to mention about the "clear traffic" thing...if you can brag about this...might as well brag about a ferreri did this to you..you probably have won still with all the stuff i talked about...so ya...congratz about "another ferreri going down!"

Takuyaah, I wasn't referring to you. Up til now, I didn't know that YOU didn't own a G35. But since you're on the defensive: Again this is a classic example of someone not reading and clearly understanding a post before responding. Up til now you seemed like a sensible poster. Now you are looking like all the other self-assuming posters.
The fact of the matter is that I agreed with your entire post regarding his disadvantage. THAT has already been acknowledged. Thus, your need to attempt to educate me regarding that point is just a waste of bandwidth. Furthermore, you were not there, so how can YOU determine whether he was challenging me? If you need me to better clarify, then ask me to instead of making self-assumptions.
In response to your question: I could hear his engine revving while he was looking directly at me through my rear view mirror, over my stereo which was turned up to about 20. You just don't do that around another sporty car without considering that that person would consider your act a challenge. As regards your attempt at sarcasm: Who said that I raced a Ferrari?

I wanted to comment on your subject line, that was all. but ok, you da man! you smoked his a$$, yet another s2k to my KILL LIST. You showed that s2k what an automatic g35 is made of(even though it wasnt even a race of any kind or any sort, *cough)...now am I still a troll?

 

It's interesting how you were able to properly ID yourself. Anyway no one distinguished the type of tranny as regards having any impact in the race. (You're too easy to pick apart)
Don't get so upset SenSpeed. Then perhaps you will be able to think of a proper come back. You should learn how to reason objectively; or you should at least get a G35 (since you apparently love them soo much) so that you can speak intelligently about it.

i know u didn't race a ferreri..thats the whole point =)...with criteria of what you describe...the setup of the "race/challenge"...u might be able to beat a 911 turbo or fererri since the disadvantage of the race...so basically you can just say "another fererri kill for me" just like u claim the s2k

The point of that comment was that some people come to this board and do exactly what you are basically saying one should not do: And that is make unilateral/self declarations as regards what one should or should not post about their G35 on this board. This is a G35 board, and this should not occur from others who DO own G35's (unless the ramarks are disparaging or offensive). IMO This should especially be the case as regards those who do NOT own a G35. You're right, everyone has freedom of speech. Thus if one choses to use it in a manner that incites an unfavorable response, then they need to just expect such a response, and expect that others may call them out.

are you referring to me? what do you mean sn....i only have one username.....if thats what you mean...and kahboom...ok..i agree...if you say you beat something that obviously not fair (as u stated) and you feel so proud about what you did and have to catagorize it as "another s2k going down"...i think you have every right to since you did give us all the senario...i just feel that its silly for someone to post something like this while it has no significant meaning of "oh..i beat him because i drove faster"..its more like..ya..i know its really unfair of the situation..and even if go 0-60 in 10 sec i probably would've still won...do u know what im saying?

so..here comes what it is....i saw a ferreri on the freeway today...and i was driving my honda civic with super stickers on them..so..its like +2357 hp...anyway..i was going about 120mph when i saw him..and he was revving his engine..so he was challenging me..so..i sped up to 130...by that time..he was about 156 car lengths behind me...and he tried to chase me...when he almost did...i exited the freeway..and he was all looking at me...i was so happy i killed another ferreri
