Besides, everyone obviously knows he's in the 1/3 of people who are non-compliant with Obama's tire gauge red herring *cough cough* errr plan

That probably is why he's getting awful mileage but it would help if people on this forum shared their collective knowledge without insulting other members intelligence and using the anonymity of the internet to be azzholes.

Instead of saying "other members" and "some people", why don't you just say "BlueDevilBAMF" or "Bert" as most people here know me.

I wouldn't be an "azzhole" if this weren't a topic that has been beaten to death a hundred times over.

Perhaps you'd prefer I just said "SEARCH"?

Bert, (lovely name by the way)
Its a simple obervation and i was sharing my experience asking if anyone else had the same issues. Yeah im a "retard", i got an auto g 35, and expected to get better gas mileage than my 4 door V6 altima that was also auto...the **** is your point? Atleast i know where the scum of this message board resides if it isnt apparent to anyone else. So thanks for the things you pointed out, but please

with your nonsense.

Qu'est ce que ca va dire "What The French Toast" ? Je ne comprend pas de toute.

I did own an 04 5AT G and then switched to a 05 6MT Altima SER, which has the same engine (VQ35). I now get 25-26 mpg regularly while I was only getting 17 mpg with the G. I'm not sure why you would think the G would get better mileage - maybe similar but not better.

The SER engine is slightly detuned from the G's (rated at 260 hp vs 280 for the G) but the SER is just as quick (0-60 in 5.8 sec).

I cannot imagine the mileage would be that much better on the SER due to MT vs AT or fwd vs rwd. The SER also uses 91 octane. I still haven't figured out why the mileage on the G was so worse though...

Quote: Well I knew it was bad, but I didnt think this bad.
There is recent post from someone who only gets 5-7.5 mpg. So count your blessings

I get 15-16 on my sedan in the city, 22-25 on the highway.

The F*** is my point? My point is that this issue has been beaten to death, and we don't need another f*cking thread on it.

I think you should GTFO if you're not going to use this Forum the way it was intended, which is not to make threads on subjects that have been made tons of times before.

If you read around the site a bit before you made your thread, you might have noticed that your situation is not unique at all. It's more the norm for G city driving.

^^^
My posts in this thread from last night were when I was hammered. Then today I woke up in a pretty ornery mood as well.

Apologies OP - I'm generally a much nicer guy

Don't know why you're getting so low... check the basics like tire pressure/oil change/ect... Also it might not hurt to pull the sparks and ensure there's no fouling just in case. On my '05c 6mt... get about 23-24... about 70-30 hwy/city... and I drive it hard (accell is almost always at least 5.5k - redline). 91 octane, usually QT or Shell.
