fart cans

Is it just me or is anyone with any vehicle now putting aftermarket fartcans on their POS's ? Here in South Florida I see at least a dozen cars a day, that are worth less than the cost of the muffler they put on it.

I get challenge by these types the all the time too. Does a guy in a 87' Nissan Sentra WAGON, or in a 99' Toyota minivan WITH RIMS think I'll waste my time on him ? His car sounded like my weed whipper.

I'm not really complaining it actually pretty fun.

As far as the 'challenges' -- I think it's their way of saying "nice ride".

Re: fart cans

I like when they try to speed off and you can hear how bad of a driver they really are. They usually shift gears like a retarded donkey...
Sounds a little something like:
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....Grind/Clunck/Bang......Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....Grind/Clunck/Bang....and so on....
Makes me smile and laugh every time. If you going to put that noise maker on your car so everyone can hear how you drive, you better be good at it.

Re: fart cans

I live in Boca Raton. You get alot of kids down here who got handed down their parents econo car and decided to rice it up. Seeing a Ford escort 4 door with a wing, rims and fart can is not at all uncommon.

As far as why they challenge me, I don't know. Just yesterday I had a guy test me in a Sentra. I think he almost blew up his engine trying to catch up to me and I was shifting around 4500 RPM's. LOLOLOL

Re: fart cans

I used to have an old sled that died if I didn't jimmy the throttle just right. (it wouldn't idle). Maybe these turds that put $2000 wheels and a fart can on a $50 car aren't challenging you,.....they're might just be trying to keep their car from dying! .

Re: fart cans

I bet you'd have a hard time with all of that "front" pressure caused by that exhaust.

300bhp??? We'll see... 5-22-2004
