Splash guard owners only

Using akk08's pic as an example. Have any of you splash guard owners ever DIY installed the splash guards or removed them after you bought the car with them? I ask cause I am looking at two different 2005 G35's one has splash guard option and is going for $23k the other doesn't have the splash guards and is going for $2k more.
I can save money and get the one with the splash guard but I don't like the way they look. I want to remove them but not sure if they are on there with an adhesive and screws or just the screws? Does anyone have details they can share please? Thanks in advance!

Please stay on topic and don't ask why I don't like splash guards, or how splash guards saved your dogs life and I should leave em on there, ect...

Adhesive and screws hold them in. You can take them off and all there will be are a few small holes that won't really be noticeable. I would leave them on though... most people think the car looks a lot better with it on there. They actually serve a functional purpose of keeping the car cleaner too, and they work quite well at that considering how small the parts are.

Like how I flaunted your off-topic warning? I'm a crazy daredevil like that.

why don't you like splash guards?
Splash guards are awesome, they can save your dogs life.
You should live them on there, etc.

if the one without splash guards is worth 2k more..then get the one with them

you should be looking at other major parts of the car rather than splash guards. you could pick up a set for like $60 here if you wanted to

Why else is the car without splash guards $2K more? That's what you should be asking yourself

Your question has already been answered by partyman, so I'm going off topic here... I think there is a lot more determining the price than 'splash guards'... mileage... engine condition... exterior condition (i.e. previous work done, existing dents/dings)... paint condition... interior condition... additional features... wheels/tire condition (thread left, curb rash)... Stop focusing on the splash guards and do a fair comparison of both cars...

BY THE WAY, MY GRANDMA DIED BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE SPLASH GUARDS... BUT MY DOG WAS SAVED DUE TO MY SPOILER... PHEW!!!!

^^^^ WHAT THE HELL????

One of mine ripped off recently! The adhesive that was left came off easily, and i cleaned it with some Meguiars Paint Cleaner and in the end you couldnt even notice there ever was a splash guard on that side.

LOL, thanks all for the comments. I got what I needed. Both cars have equal the amount of options. One has slightly less mileage then the other. I've seen both in person. Dings, scratches, interior wear and tear, ect... All match up with eachother essentially. Thanks again!
