That's a pretty good price. Here in Socal they charege $185+. Comes with the Cali territory I guess.

I had mine just done at my INFINITI DEALER here in north Jersey.
$165 for the proper service, performed by INFINITI technicians.

I would say that if you bought a fin, you should not take it to a place that does not work on fins every day.

now my tranny is a tight as new...happy with the proper flush technique and J Matic running through its veins....

Nissan has Dealer Technical Service Specialists that travel among the dealers dealing with complaints and technical issues who will investigate your complaint. Nissan will want to know that one of their dealers is violating the warranty requirements and possibly opening them up to future warranty claims or legal action due to their negligent behavior.
Also write a letter to the dealer repeating everything they said to you regarding the transmission fluid. Send it certified mail, return receipt and keep a copy for your records. I think a complete flush with J-matic fluid as soon as possible will probably prevent any future problems since you have not had the Valvoline in there very long. Maybe Nissan will do it for free after you complain. Good luck.
Do this. This is a shady "stealership".

That is why i do my own service to all my cars.

Goodluck bro! Take them to court!@

When I went to the dealer to fix my axle I ask about your issue ^^. the guy said that you should talk to the dealer because if something happen in your tranny they might say some excuse and end up your the one suffering. "The Infinity and Nissan Dealer should use only J matic to flush the tranny because its the proper way to flush their engines" dealer said.

so good luck to you bro...

(my baby's arthritis "axle" is fixed, no more clicking ..)

yeah this is weird, i went to nissan today to get diff fluid and they gave me valvoline 75w90 gear oil and i was going to have the tranny flushed there next week but i bet they would use the valvoline for that too... should i not put this in my diff either? maybe something synthetic like amsoil i've been reading? at least its cheap.

if your in so cal i'd just go to autobacs.. amsoil makes an ATF fluid that states its made for j-matic transmissions (i checked) and works great... i havent had a single problem in almost 25k miles.. and on top of that a flush and fill only ran me $120...

the problem is now they will probably, just change the fluid to the same stuff again and change the fluid to j-matic on the ticket and send you on your way. I would call infiniti consumer affairs, be very polite and state your case. Say that you believe it may have damaged your tranny because they did not use approved fluid.

Any word on what happened? This is pretty interesting and frankly disappointing that a dealership would do something like that.
