Tranny & Rear Differential Fluids
i have an '05 g35 6mt w/ 27,500 miles and have been experiencing notchy shifting (no grinding) esp 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd. i know this topic has been touched on many times but i guess i'm just looking for a clear-cut answer. i've driven my buddy's stock '04 6mt w/ about 55k miles and noticed his shifting is freaken smooth like butter. about the fluids, i was looking at flushing out my tranny & diff. fluids with Amsoil MTG 75W-90 API GL-4 for the transmission and Sever Gear 75W-90 API GL-5 for the rear differential. is this recommended and will this make a big difference in terms of smoother shifting? any info will help. thanks

During the flush, you may also want to buy a bottle of el-cheapo differential fluid and flush out the differential with that before putting the Amsoil in there.
