Did you take out the foam in the bumper right in front of the filter?

Make sure everything is on tight. If i were you i would take it apart and make sure you made all the rubber parts real tight. There might be a air leak some where.

And try resetting your ECU if you haven't already done so.

I think there was a post about the K&N cold air dying on manuals too, try searching for that.

Re: AEM intake installed, problems

Ok this is now driving me crazy! We called AEM and they said there are no problems with their intakes. They said it souunds like a air leak. So I checked all clamps and everything is fine! Do you have to reset the ecu or something?

Vacuum checked. I was looking at the DIY section and it has many ways to reset the ECU. What way is best? Thanks for the help!

Do yourself a favor and go get the injen or just a JWT or Stillen cold air box...

Re: AEM intake installed, problems

I wanted the injen but here in cali the CHP are arseholes! They pop your hood and ask look for aftermarket stuff then tow your car. The AEM is ok for cali, thats the only reason why I bought it. This is stumping me, its just a intake. How can it make the car run like [censored]?
