g35 now (june) or 2005 in september...

I am somewhat pi$$t. Reserved my car early april and was told it would be here by end of april or early may. I called the dealer last week and received an update that I probably won't get my car until end of may now or early June. At this point I wonder if I should just wait for the 2005 model wich should be available around september or get the coupe late may/early June. This would be so much easier if I knew the exact changes if any planned for the 2005 model. Anyways, was just wondering if anybody is in the same boat or about any thoughts in general.

Get it now because their is only speculation about potential changes. If their are any changes they will be minor. Waiting longer will only you drive more crazy. Along with new changes will be a higher price tag as well. I am waiting for that to jump up significantly soon due to the popularity and the demand. You wont regret getting it now.

Did infiniti raise the price with the introduction of the 2004 model?

A price increase with the 2005 would suck and would be a good reason to buy now, unless they include more features and just increase the base price and keep the price of a fully loaded model at the same level it is now. Anybody know typically when they anounce the new changes ?

i ordered my car on somewhere around march 4 and the dealer told me it should be here in 90 to 100 days, 100 days will be may 24, thats 2 weeks away. i called the guy yesterday and he said he has no info on it and its gonna probably take another month.

i started calling dealers in socal(im in san francisco) to see if they have what i want but on my order form, the sales guy wrote that my deposit is non refundable, is that set in stone or is there something i can do to get my money back if i do find something farther away? thanks.

I've gotten a couple "non-refundable" deposits back. You may just have to work at it a little bit. Start by being nice and saying the truth. It is just taking too long. If need be, argue that they gave you unrealistic expectations and that you left the deposit in good faith. By the car not being there when promised, they broke the agreement. Give it a shot.

Dude if I were you, and I had another car to use until then, WAIT! People can talk all the speculation in the world about what is going to be on the 05 and what is not. There is nothing confirmed yet and nothing denied but there WILL BE changes. For that reason alone I say that you should wait and see what changes there are, if you don't like them, get an 04 for cheaper. The dealer sure isn't going charge you the same price for a previous year car. And I really doubt that there would be a huge price difference from one year to the next unless there were MAJOR changes and we probably would have heard about it by now if there was.

Well... if there will be a price increase... why dun you guys jus get a 2004 or *2005!!!* TL.... considering everythign in that car is a standard... you wont have 2 bother w/ a package here package there, end up addin like 7-8k

You gotta get whut ur $s worth, dun get ripped off. G35s bad enough considering pricing. Stock TL = loaded G35s. Price diff: $500-$1000 for Stock TL vs Stock G35 (w/ nothing)

g35 6spd leather with premium pkg and Destination Charge MSRP's for 33,490 the Acura TL 6spd for 33,195. Not much of a difference there. FWD vs RWD. If the 2005 has more HP and a new interior then a jump of $1000 (est.) would not turn people to the Acura IMHO!

i ordered 6/6/03. was first of 04's.

6mtC had very minor changes. dealer honored price he quoted even though it went up 250.

the regular coupe or was it the sedan was given lsd, but 6mtC had it already.

you make out if you wait on value, but if you need the car....

04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.

It depends. Do you need a car? if so then get it now. If not, then I would wait and see what spiffy new stuff infiniti has come out with.

Defintely wait! Even if it is speculation, there must be some upgrades. I like everything about the G; but the interior is substandard for a luxury car. ( I quess you have to make a sacrifice for the price?) I have decided to wait and see what happens, any changes would be worth it, it sucks to drive the last year of an old model!

I'm in the same boat, but I've got a few things to take care of before I can jump ship with my current project car.

The ONLY reason I haven't been in a huge hurry is because I figured it would be best for me to wait for the 2005s anyway. I'm probably going to have to special order since I DON'T want the sunroof on a 6MT. Seems like finding the right color & package might be difficult if I stick to my sunroof-delete plan.

After owning several brand-new cars in my life, I've come to realize that waiting for a "new" model to hit it's 3rd production year generally saves you some headaches when it comes to the small stuff. I never did wait, but now is finally my chance... ...desired or not. lol In this case, I'm in hopes that Nissan/Infiniti will be able to isolate the shifter vibration and some other small complaints that people have.

And if waiting gives me the excuse to have one special-ordered from the factory, so be it. It was a great feeling the last time I had to special order a car, and I'm looking forward to it again. Last time I did it, it arrived with 13 miles on the odometer and still covered in the paint-protective plastic.

It did take a couple of months to arrive, but to be fair I ordered it a month or two before Mitsubishi even began production. lol I was a little anxious to buy the car, to say the least.

Hi there. If it makes you feel better, know that you can count me in too! I am in the process of selling my 03 Acura CL-S (Comptech Class). The transaction should be complete before the end of this week. I have been wanting a new G35 coupe for a long time now. And now it looks like I will finally be in the market. But I cannot bring myself to buy one now, knowing that there is a slim possibility of changes. To me it's a no-brainer. I can wait four more months. I'll drive my girlfriends Echo (30 mpg in city), and I'll wait for the 20005 G35.

ended up cancelling my 2004 g35coupe order and now im #2 in line to receive a 2005 as soon as it becomes available. Seems to be the way to go since I do have a car that I can use in the mean time.
