I think the throw out bearing is going out
This is not good! I hear a pretty loud rattle when the clutch is out. When I push it in it goes away. I bought the car from a guy two weeks ago. The car has 10k on it. Will the dealer take care of this?

yep...mine went at exactly 10,000 miles...they gave me a new htrow out bearing, clutch and flywheel.

Well, that's unfortunate, yet you're lucky that they recognized it and changed it for you ! I had mine checked for this kind of noise at about 1,800 miles and while initially they told me it's unusual, the next day they changed their story (after testing it some more) and told me it's not out of the ordinary. However, they did mention that they do hear that noise in some cars around 10k miles.
I'm personally not too happy about our manual tranny anyway, so this is just another issue to prove my point.

Its pretty loud. Tonight it got real loud. I would think you would be able to tell if yours is going out. Thats how loud it is.

they didnt recognize it at first...it took me 4 times bringing it in complaining before htey did anything about it!

I always noticed that when my 6mt idles, it kind of sounds like a diesel engine, LOL, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Just today i heard a rattle that i never noticed before...am i too paranoid?

My '03 6MT coupe has 8600 miles, and the throwout bearing is also making lots of noise. I will be taking it in to have it looked at/replaced ASAP.
This doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy about this car. This is the 3rd time it's been to the dealer in the 2 months I have owned it (bought it with 5500 miles on it). I owned my Subaru WRX for 3 years, even had it to about 350chp, and it NEVER went to the dealer in the 70k miles I had it. :/ Maybe this Infinity was a mistake...

I've had this damn noise since the day i got my G. I thought it was the fly wheel or clutch plate i asked them they told me dont worry about it. i figure if it breaks they will fix it i man sh*t we are fully covered by infiniti so no biggy i guess but thanks for the heads up ill put more pressure on the servce guy.
