Shift ****...Anyone?

Where can I find a replacement shift **** for an AT? Did you change your ****? To what? Any pics?

I have been looking on this site for awhile now and have seen many posts on how to change the **** and things of that nature. But my question is what ***** are the best in your opinion and where is the best place to buy?

That's a Momo I believe. Nice piece. A friend (Scoop) has one in his D/G coupe and it's very nice. I'm thinking of one for myself.

Re: Shift ****...Anyone?

It sits lower cos i took out the platic piece of the actuator rod. There is a metal rod underneath the plastic piece that is shorter, so the shift **** sits lower.

Re: Shift ****...Anyone?

Very nice indeed.....
I was thinking of replacing my stock one with the new style **** that is standard on the new 04.5 coupes.....but the dealer told me it was about $200. And it isn't that much of a difference to justify that amount of money.....

How much did the **** run you?

Re: Shift ****...Anyone?

I have the momo shifter pictured and think it is the best one out there for an automatic. I think the best price for it is $99.95 at performance nissan. Look under G35 and interior: http://www.perfnissan.com/parts.shtml

Re: Shift ****...Anyone?

If you are looking for the newer design Shift ****, the one with the trigger in the front and not on the side, I have an extra one, the charcoal interior version, so it is almost black color. It is in mint condition in the original Nissan part box with the white clip that it came with. I am not sure if you need the clip to install it though. If you want the shift **** for the Willow interior (beige color) I may soon be buying the Momo shift **** and could then sell you mine that is currently on my car. The charcoal one is extra someone gave me.

Email me at jdanziger@sbcglobal.net if you are interested and we will discuss a price, it will be fair trust me as this shiftknob is just lying around collecting dust.

Thanks alot.

Jason

Re: Shift ****...Anyone?

Got the 350Z a.k.a. G35 2004 AT shift **** installed on my 2003.5 sedan. I actually bought two *****, one with wood grain inset and the other with 350 titanium (a little lighter than G35 titanium). The install wasn't nearly as tough as I thought it would be but the 2004 AT **** is not a direct replacement into the 2003 model year car! You have to saw the shift column to create slots so the clip from the **** will hold it in place and you won't pop the **** off when you press the button.

Enjoy the pics (sorry - macro was turned off so they're a little fuzzy)!

Re: Shift ****...Anyone?

Another angle (again sorry that it's fuzzy).

The **** is smaller, rounder, and has the button facing the radio rather than the side. You not only need the **** but also a compression adapter that's blue in color, Nissan part # 34951-CG000. This stupid adapter costs $20.00 or more alone from the dealer.

Anyone interested in the other **** I have?
