I believe my G was lost in IKE, in Galveston :(

I was out of town and could not make it back until Friday the 12th. and the water was already so high there was no way to get my G out... I tried to get a tow truck or flatbed unsuccessfully also but had to flee around 10am as the water began coming over the seawall. I parked her on the highest ground I could still get to and kissed her bye then drove away; I have one note left to pay
Since the authorities will not let us get back to the island any water that got inside has surely ruined everything according to my insurance and Infiniti. I will have her towed to the dealer as soon as I can get to her, but I fear she will be unfixable since salt water is unforgiving if not washed away and right away.
I was looking at the G37s 6MT yesterday and will be test driving one this week; I just rather the look of the first gen and really wanted to keep my G a long time. Just cant get it off my mind; I did also loose everything in the house but all that can be replaced; I got the good stuff loaded and left with it; my G will be missed most of all after this.

i also prefer the first gen over the second gen, but after they pay you off for your '03/'04 you'll be getting a nice check, so searching for a new G will be fun!

Sorry to heard that. I plan to keep my G for a long time also. (It's my 1st car) But G37 can be sexy also. A Change can be a good thing sometimes.

G/L on whatever happens.

I'm sorry to hear the bad news. Thank God you and your family are okay. G37s are sweet and all material things are replaceable, but you're not.

Thanks everyone! I feel somewhat better; I'll be driving down in a couple of days following a flatbed to pick her up, take her to the dealer where Progressive will inspect and determine what they will pay; then, I assume GAP will cover the rest. I need to read all the fine print tomorrow.
Does anyone know exactly how this works when you have the GAP insurance as well as comp?

Much Love
htb

That's really messed up. I would hate to have that happen to me after all those payments.
Wasn't there a friend or relative to get it out sooner?
