Pollen and Air Filter

I was just wondering when the pollen season is over, should i replace my air filter or any filters in the car for that matter. I mean i have an air purifier in my house and ever since the pollen season that thing has been FILLED with green pollen. Should i get it replaced or just cleaned at my local infiniti delaer ship, and if so how much would ir probably run for?

Re: Pollen and Air Filter

Basically i just wanted to know the negative effects of pollen on our stock engine air filters, i dont know anything about the air filters in our cars or how many there are but i just wanted to know if pollen could hinder our performance with the build up of it on our filters

Re: Pollen and Air Filter

The engine air intake filter is easily checked and should be periodicly for optimal performance.
An aftermarket filter like K&N is available for performance improvement and longer lasting service. This type of filter can be removed and cleaned, and instruction on how to do so can be found in our FAQ/DIY forum.
