Did you buy the car new? used? did you save the original parts or sell them to pay for other stuff? How much are you expecting to get for your car as is if you didnt save the original parts? Will 7-8 grand adequately get you want either with the Vortech or trying to get into a newer car? Whats your mileage on the odometer? many many questions to be asked. If you like what you got, boost it and call it a day. If you dont like it, cut your losses and get something thats better for you.

that is a good # but i dont think 7-8k will get you runnin as reliable as you would like if you wanna run your vortech. but i mean, its all up to you. you gotta think to yourself if your ready to take the "plunge"... what IF you throw a rod? tranny take a crap? gotta save a couple extra 1,000 to be prepared for anything once you go FI *think most the FI community will agreee when i say this*

but if you get a solid Tune , you have a good engine management/piggyback, solid install you SHOULD be ok.

if you got any ?'s pm me

Both are good stuff. The biggest thing to remember really is that the more you push it, the sooner something will break.

If you wanna do it right...7-8K will not do it. To make it reliable IMO the motor must be built. Look to spend $20K+ to do it right, and don't forget about the tune...a bad tune in itself can defeat all of your efforts.

Personally if I were you and all I wanted to spend was 7-8K, I would just buy a new car. You may risk blowing the motor and you are out 7-8k and will be forced to fix something down the road of which could have been tackled at the begining. Just my .02

Um... yea you will. You can smoke any other low-mid range perfomance car out there. You can beat Evo's 335i's, STI's, Acura TL's like seriously what are you expecting to beat?

You still will not beat a Z06 or GT-R or anything if that's what your expecting, and those are also a completely different class of car.
