i would rather have a 6mt rx8 than a 6mt G coupe. whoever said that they arent even in the same class is wrong, everyone who considers either car also considers the other. they have similar performance is many aspects. they both have 4 seats, both cost around the same with rx8 having the edge, they both even have almost the exact same trunk size though the G is more usable. Looks are purely subjective so i wont even get into it. The fact is that the rx8 is more fun to drive because of its high revving rotary engine and the g35 is more powerful by a significant degree though losing in the handling category.maintenance in the rx8 will obviously be more of a pain and the g35 is easier to modify which is important to many people. i think that once the mazdaspeed rx8 comes out they will gain a significant edge.

I think that the "fun to drive factor" is also subjective when comparing these two cars. I think that the G is more fun to drive because of it's edge in low end torque. I had high revving engines before in my MX6 and Prelude and they do not copare to the "torquey" feel of the G IMO.

Well you know, you can always trade in your G35 and get a RX-8 if you like it so much. ; )

 

after seeing my friends RX-8 going through 3 transmission in about 5000miles shows how great this car really is. this car can not take any type of abuse whats so ever
