Decisions, decisions

Decisions, decisions
Well, quick background. Single military guy living in Nigeria for two years...saving money (nothing better to do here). Divorced, no children. Now, before this gets to sound to much like a personal's add...I have the oppurtunity to buy a 2004 BMW M3 for about $6k under MSRP or a 2004 G35 Coupe. I'd be able to pay cash for the G35 but I'd have to finance roughly $15k for the M3. Being an enlisted guy in his mid 30's I think getting the M3 is a great oppurtunity and is my car of choice (if prices were same) and the G35 is so reasonably priced I could buy one later as my next car. Aesthetically, both cars do it for me in different ways with the interior edge to the M. Would you let this M3 deal pass you buy?

Re: Decisions, decisions
That's a great deal on the M3, and I would go with that. Last time I ordered an M3 (a year ago, subsequently canceled for a Z06), it was an honor to be able to pay MSRP and wait a year for the car!

Re: Decisions, decisions
The M3 is just sic. Definatly dont pass up the opportunty to get one if you can. My friend's got one, and while I love my car, the M has an edge over it in everything...build, amenities, power, etc. The g35c is a better value, bang for your buck and all that. But read some reviews in car mags...no one can knock that car. Especially since you're getting a great deal. Someone mentioned the convertible...there's nothing quite like kickin it in some twisties top down in the summer. Remarkably quiet even at high speed.

No question, if I was in your shoes I would go for the M3. Thankfully you have enough cash saved that you only have to finance 15 grand. The payments will be so small for such an amazing car. A deal like that only comes around once. I personally would take it, but by no means am I putting down the G35. It is a fantastic car and a bargain for what you get. Either way you will definately be happy.

Stelmos- I'm guessing on the price of the 04 G35 SC. I want to thank everyone for giving me their opinions. The only concern now is if they evacuate me due to world situations I won't be able to save all the money I need to make this deal happen. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Re: Decisions, decisions
Be careful on the M3, BMW has had a lot of problems with the engine. Do your research first on this car before deciding.
