Re: 2005 G35 Link Official from INFINITI!!!!!!!
The interior doesn't look hugely different. Other than using real aluminum and rotary ***** for stereo/climate control in the '05, I actually prefer the '03-'04 interior. I actually like the current location of the Infiniti clock and the AT shifter area better. I hope that nasty orange stitch on the steering wheel is some sort of an error.
Now, the extra power in the MT is sweet, but since I probably wouldn't have bought an MT anyway (daily driver/traffic jams), I guess it doesn't really affect me.

Premium, Nav., 18" Wheels, Z-Xtreme Hyper Grounding Cables,
K&N filter, Clear Corners, 350Z Aluminum Pedals,
Sony Ericsson HCB-30

Re: 2005 G35 Link Official from INFINITI!!!!!!!
increase of 15 hp and a few interior changes!!!! i noticed from the pic that if correct, the steering wheel buttons will be backlit too.
woohoo for me b/c i was planning on purchasing a new coupe either way cuz i now want nav and 6mt. so for me, it's an extra "gift" with the 15 hp and new 19" wheels.

Re: 2005 G35 Link Official from INFINITI!!!!!!!
What I like:
1) The temperature and stereo volume controls are now rotary dials.
2) The aluminum finish looks nice.
3) The tape player is gone!
4) The buttons/switches on the steering wheel look good.
What I don't like:
The gauge cluster does not look much better than before.
The clock stuck in between the HVAC display panel. I like the seamless look of my '04 better.
The radio and the climate controls are still one piece. (Expensive aftermarket install)
The radio does not appear as if it supports MP3s.
As for the power gains; 15hp is not at the wheels but at the crank. Not a big feat when you consider the current mods available to us. I am curious how they were able to produce the gains. (Plenum?)
I agree with Moe, it should have paddle shifters.
Can anyone make out the far right of the HVAC display panel (next to the outside temp)?
Does any one want to sell me your preordered ’05 19” rims?

Re: 2005 G35 Link Official from INFINITI!!!!!!!
YEEEEEEAHHHHHHHH. They made the 2005 interior UGLIER. WOOHOOOOOOOOOO. Now there might be something LIMITED about MY car. There is definitely a woohoo deserved, but not for the same reasons.
Besides the audio deck being nicer (no cassette deck) all those changes are WEAK. New aluminum interior, cool? But the actual styling is uglier. The new tach / speedo gauges are DEFINITELY uglier. The stitching on the steering wheel looks ghetto.
I was afraid of a massive HP gain, but ~15 hp on the MT only? Means some form of bolt-ons, nothing we can't do ourselves.
GOOOOOOO Infiniti. On a more serious note, any word on changes on the 350Z?
I hope the 19" wheels are uglier too.

Re: 2005 G35 Link Official from INFINITI!!!!!!!
I still think the 2005 looks alot better.
It's truly amazing how such small tweeks can have such a HUGE impact on the over all look of the car.
I thank GOD, and my luck charms I decided to wait for the 2005's!
The 2005's are truely the ultimate G now !

Re: 2005 G35 Link Official from INFINITI!!!!!!!
I zoomed in and brushed it up a bit. Its a passenger airbag off light. Steering wheel controls remind me of those phones for grandmas with the enormous numbers. The speedo/tac look like they belong in a maxima, not a luxury/GT. The console shape looks better, but the buttons look cheaper, the dials look ugly and the clock being in the info display looks choppy. The seat heaters are an interesting change...but ehh. Overall, the only thing I'm jealous of is that INFINITI badge instead of a tape deck.

Re: 2005 G35 Link Official from INFINITI!!!!!!!
I'm assuming the "lightweight 19" wheel" is probably some variant of the 19" Nismo. Damn it. This is the most hurtful thing. Not only did our 18" wheels just become worthless, but a 8 pound lighter 19 inch wheel spells big gains. That translates to a conservative 100 pound lighter vehicle if they weigh in in the 18 pound range. Argghhhh!!!!! I'd rather they just bump the HP to 300 than offer a lighter 19.
This almost makes it more cost effective to trade. Say you will have to spend $3000 for new wheels and tires (assume the 19" Nismo or something like it), then maybe get $800 for a current set of 18"s with good tires, that's $2200 right there. I figure I'll lose $7000 AT LEAST trading my 3000 mile 2004.5, that's only $4800 difference as opposed to going with new wheels right now. Factor in the $1000 it takes to get another 15 HP, leaving me with a $3800 difference between my current ride with new wheels and a 2005 with stock wheels. (Assuming I can get VPP again). $hit!!!!! This is depressing. What to do!?
