I recently purchased a 2004 G35 coupe. And i filled up my gas tank two times already, and when the gas clerk hears the gas tank make that clicking sound, the glass clerk than taps the gas off and gives me my recpit. From there when i look at my gas meter in the car, the needle for the gas doesnt fully go up to full, it stays one line below the "F". && for the past two times i filled up, i been getting 200 miles to a full tank, does anyone know why i am getting such bad gas milage? I shift always between 2500-3000 rpms always.. Its a 6spd manual car, can anyone please help me out?

yes, it's the fuel sensor right next to your brake or throtle paddles. I got those fixed twice according to Infiniti and still happening right now. I had this problem for 2 years now and I don't even bother with it. Just reset my trip mileage everything I fill her up and will last me about 350miles b4 next refill.

This could also be the schrader valve issue which has caused some fill up problems with other Gs.

My understanding it that the schrader valve allows the gas tank to breath while filling up. If it malfunctions, then the gas trips the pump nozzle and prevents it from filling the tank all the way.

do you see how much exact gas he puts in? The capacity of th gas tank is 20gallons, but when my gas light comes on and the line is on E' it only takes 17 gallons to get it back to full where no more gas can go in.

I assume that there is 3 gallons of 'reserve' gas or 'in case ****' happens reserve.

I divide by 17 depending on my mileage. On average i get 22-23MPG.
