I have that cover and love it. It only takes a couple of minutes to put on or take off.
When I was looking I started this thread here about car covers: https://g35driver.com/forums/canada/237854-great-white-north-car-cover.html
I had my local shop order my Covercraft Noah cover.

I honestly do not put it on too much in the winter. I like the car to be reasonably clean when I put it on. But it has snowed almost every day for the last 1 1/2 months. So the car is never clean enough to put it on, every time I drive home it is covered in road salt or road grime. I do clean the car once per week though.
I use my cover all the time in the Spring, Summer, and Fall, but I really haven't bothered in the winter unless I know I will be leaving the car for a longer period of time.

im kinda lookin at it for that purpose: winter months and snow (now)...
and i guess rain too, but really the snow and stuff like that...
-is it gonna be annoying getting frozen snow off it without tearing it up?
i feel like i can keep it pretty clean because i have OCD and i have a 4 mile commute to work everyday...its like a 10 min drive...

For those of you worried about frozen snow on the cover.. it's not a problem if you get the snow off fast right after the storm. If you sit around all day watching TV while the snow sits on your car, and then come out the next day before work to try to get it off.... good luck... because chances are it will be frozen into a huge block.
If you're lazy about cleaning the snow off.. just take a push broom and use it to brush the bulk of the snow off the cover, and then use your hands/gloves or a snow-brush to push the rest off.

how to hook up the mirrors and unfold it. Both my wife and I use our covers
winter/summer if our cars are going to be left somewhere for any length of
time. After 12 years of driving my '92 300ZXTT no one would believe it had
the OEM paint job. All I ever heard was, "No Way!"

I feel your pain. The first 2 1/2 years I owned my G it wasn't garaged. I thought about a cover as well, but since my car was subject to all the salt/sand/slag they dumped all over the GSP, I wasn't too keen on covering it dirty and with frozen slush and ice all over the panels.I figured it would total the inside of the cover in no time at all, and then the finish would be marred up more with the dirt on the inside of the cover.
I just ended up keeping multiple layers of wax/sealant on my finish. If it did snow, I would gentley sweep the snow off in big chunks and then brush off the remainder.
I'm sure a cover would be perfectly fine.....but I chose to maintain the finish and take my chances.
Good luck with your decision. By the way......Where in BC are you located? I used to reside in Fort Lee...........

Great advice, I bought my car about two weeks ago and was thinking the same thing since I do not have a garage.
I had a cheap car cover for my last car from the local auto parts store and eventually stopped using it because I thought it was worse.
-my clean car would be dirty after I would take the cover off when it had rained
-heavy wind would blow it off
-when I was rushing to work/school in the moring it was a pain because I had to take it off
-the car cover smelled like crap
-that particular one was not easy to fold up so I would have to ball it up and throw it in my trunk taking up space and getting my trunk dirty.
- I could probably think of some more
Point of this is do not take the cheap way out, and if you want to take care of your car don't be lazy about it...it will take a few extra minutes to take on/off

You should def get a bag to store it in, the cheap car cover I had came with a bag so I'm sure a nice one will have one too.
You shouldn't need to strap it down if you get a cover that is meant for your car, it should fit well, but I'm sure their is an option to strap it down from underneath or some thing for added protection.
As far as cleaning goes, I don't know. But it should have instructions on it as well as how to wash the cover.
Hope this helps

do i have to use that under car strap thingy? It comes with a tie and a couple reinforced holes so it can be tied tightly under the center of the car, which they recommend
