Just curious as to whether or not my 2000 a year on AAA insurance is too much?

are you kidding? i pay 3200 after all kinds of discounts (safe driver, good student, etc) and you ask if 2000 is a lot? i believe some young drivers in new york and jersey around 7-8k a year if not more. if i still lived in jersey i would be paying at least 7k. how old are you, what state are you in, and how is your driving record? my mom is a very safe driver with zero moving violations and she pays around 1500 in jersey.

 

I'm 25 and pay 800 a yr for my 04 coupe.

Every person is different. There are many items that go into a rate calcuation:

1) Zip code
2) Type of car
3) Driver record
4) Credit
5) age, and claim experience.
6) and if you are friends with Ximer

If you are in Wyoming then 2K is not good, In NY or NJ it is not bad.

It cost me $3,600 a year in New Jersey......
I think we are one of the worst states for car insurance, and the theft claim rate here is out of control......

I know when I was thinking of relocating to So. Carolina my car insurance would have dropped considerably compared to N.J.

Dont ask me how i got $3100 i dont know..I thought it was an error and i kept calling them to confirm.. but i guess its only $3100..lol

Maybe my good credit and the fact i live in one of the safest places in NJ helped??
