and yes, having my buddies push my G around in the parking lot is not the highlight of my career
If you want some advice from a fellow NYer, I am running Blizzacks and so far so good. There is just a slight difference in handling...not as nice with the winters when there is no snow, but I guess that is a small price to pay. Not sure if the Dunlops are cheaper or more expensive though...

I ordered the Dunlops from tire rack, I would go online and see what they have available for your car and at what price and then phone around locally. When I order from tire rack they were almost sold out.
Only problem I found with not buying them locally is in finding a shop where they will install them at a reasonable price.

Any winter tire irregardless of brand name will be a big improvement on snow and Ice. I bought the Dunlops because they were highly recommended and available. Blizzacks would work very well also.

Today i backed my 05 sedan out of storage to pull into the center of my garage to test some polishing compound, well my driveway ahd hard packed snow on it and the second i hit the breaks to put it in drive, away i went. Straight down the driveway through a barrier of pushed snow chunks from a plow. Ended up in my street. Took me 3 try sto get back up the driveway. Potenzas on snow=fail.

i drove my g in boston's snow storm last week and it was very bad...i got stuck on a little slope at a light and an suv had to give me bumper to bumper up the hill and then as soon as i got up the hill , i got stuck on the train tracks but luckily i got out before the train came. I was also riding on my toyo summer tires which was a bad idea and neva doin again. So if your planning to drive your g in the winter, i recommend you get snow tires.
