05 g35 factory car cover

So for X-mas my brother bought me a Infiniti Car cover. Looks to be 100% factory..its black and feels like satin inside. has a hugo infiniti logo on the front.

Anyways, i was curious what this cover is actual good for. just for garages? does it reply water? snow? ect

thanks much!

anyone have a picture so i can make sure its a real factory one? and is it supposed to have a locks or cables on it? cuz it doesnt have either

I remember reading people with the factory car cover saying its really only good for indoor covering inside garage to keep off dust and what not. I actually received my covercraft NOAH car cover today. fits like a glove.

search under my posts...what do the specs say on the infiniti website? all car covers are meant/intended for specific scenarios....some can be indoor AND outdoor....but usually they are one or the other....i just know you gotta make sure the car is CLEAN before putting the cover on or it maaaaaaay scratch.....

the noah is looks really good....thats what im prob gonna get...i live in nj and i have to keep it outside...sucks

That was nice of your Brother but....?

Common sense tells me that I wouldn't want a BLACK car cover to be used outside, unless you wanted to create an oven.... To use a car cover outside you want the lightest color possible, light tan or silver. My wife and I use the California Car Covers made of Noah which is silver, repels water and dust. I know Infiniti sells car covers that are silver like what we use, ask about an exchange....you don't want BLACK!
