new tires-already?? and fuel gage
new tires-already?? and fuel gage
Sorry, this might be a dumb question for some of you guys. But, is 25,000 miles too soon for new tires? I have the standard 17" tires on my coupe? Also, has anyone had an issue with you tank not filling up? I can't seem to get it to the full mark??? Please help!
Re: new tires-already?? and fuel gage
Since I have the 18's, I would say depending on how hard you drive your car, that 25,000 miles is a little low for a/s tires.......
The 18" Michelins usually last around that if your lucky and don't abuse them.......
As far as the fuel tank, many here have reported not being able to fill their cars.....It happened to me a couple of times as well....
It seems to depend on the gas station and the pressure of the flow from the pump.....it seems to cause a backwash of fuel which hits the nozzle and shuts it off.....
Some people have tried to continue to pump extra fuel in and it may over flow and still not be full......
Check with your dealer if it becomes a constant problem....they may have a fix for it.........

Re: new tires-already?? and fuel gage
For filling up try rotating the nozzel about 20~30 degrees clockwise, this should fix your problem.

Re: new tires-already?? and fuel gage
Actually your tank is more than likely full. I know I fill mine up as much as I can get in there and my gas gauge can read anywhere from 2 ticks below "F" or the correct reading of a little over "F". I mentioned it to service and we'll look into this problem more once I get a few other problems straightened out. Search for "is my gas needle drunk?" and there was a thread with a little more detail. Sorry I can't do better for you it's late and I need sleep!
Oh yeah, I can't help you on the 17's, I have 18's and know more about that.

Re: new tires-already?? and fuel gage
I had that gas tank problem. I took it to the dealer and they said there was a TSB on it. They replaced the unit in my tank that tells the gauge if its full. It had gone bad. Apparently this is a problem on ALL Nissan's. Not just our cars. I know people with Sentra's, Altima's, Z's and G's that have ALL been having this problem and the dealer has replaced everyone's sending units. Just take it to the dealer and let them know. They will fix it for you.
