No I have not changed the cabin filter.. I never made an attempt to fix the smell.. it fixed itself... I searched here a long time ago and found its normal.

I just picked up my 03 6mt from the dealership 45 mins ago after having the motor replaced for oil consumption. Was a 23 mile trip from the dealership to work w/the heater on and is making the same sort of smell. So I'd say it's normal.
