I was wondering if the stock radio has this on the 04 coupe?

 

I don't think it does. I have an 03 non-bose coupe and don't have the RDS.

 

The Operators Manual implies that the 04 coupe has it. You can read it for your self at Nissan Publications.

My coupe has the Bose radio, so I don't know for sure.

I have an 04 with the premium package. It has RDS. Very few radio stations actually send a signal.

I have an 04 base model, and no, the radio does not have RDS. My eyes should be on the road and not reading the radio anyway, so it doesn't bother me.

I disagree. Every radio station I have programmed into my stereo sends a signal. It must depend on either your market or listening tastes.

This is true. Some do, some don't. Until recently, we didn't have many digital RDS stations, but in the last few months, a bunch of stations added it. Kinda nice now. One station started advertising on it. My radio kept displaying "WIN A ... SEA DOO!"

 

This is what I'm afraid of with RDS, that stations will stop scrolling the artist/title and just use it as another advertising tool... In which case I'd want to turn it off if it just said somecompany.com for a few minutes on the radio.
