Manuals are old news buddy.. Welcome to the 21st century.. Why is the GTR auto? All new Ferraris auto that will shift gears in less than half a second.. EVO 10 MR automatic.. Why don't you drive some of those cars with triptronic/paddleshifting? I drove a new S4 audi and the paddleshifting on that car was a billion times funner than a manual.
Want me to keep listing cars? Manual transmissions these days can't even hold a candle to autos. Ever heard of SMG/DSG AUTO transmissions? Dual cltuch?? Yup..

So to clarify for your dumbazz I wasn't comparing the g35 6mt to ferrari's, F1's, s4's, evo's, and gtr's. Go back and read the post carefully, i was comparing the g35 manual vs auto. And you don't need to tell me about technology, I know those are all great cars you mentioned as well as a blast to drive.

It's as simple as this, it it's going to be a dd and there's lots of traffic in your work route: make it an auto. If it's at all a weekend and sunny day car like mine: only a 6mt. will do. Although I love to drive my 6mt., don't think I'd enjoy sitting in traffic riding the clutch on a daily basis.

Yup I'm a e forum thug.. so true... All you need is a VB upgrade for the auto tranny on this car then it would shift faster and crap all over your MT.. Go educate yourself.
Who ever brought up the drifting in an auto... Have you seen the 400hp AUTOMATIC Amuse 350Z? That **** drifts just as good, if not better than anything else.

So if we were speaking stock for stock..you have your answer, at least when it comes to shifting.

From gear to gear the stock triptronic can still shift faster.. however going through the gears 6MT would be faster.
Example: You can go from 1st to 5th way faster than triptronic... but say were racing from a second gear pull, I'll bet any money that when it comes time to shift, the triptronic will beat your hand movement to 3rd gear.
But cycling through the gears, then manual wins... Thats the case for the G's tho... That audi would cycle through the gears like nothing in triptronic.

all i know is that when a 6mt has problems..it probably is a result from how the driver drives it. when a 5at has problems..its more than likely just normal wear and tear or not being serviced enough which makes the auto much more reliable.
