hawks vs project u
I need new break pads and would like sum feed back. I remember hearing from someone that Hawk break pad either do not fit properly or are not as good as the Project U. So basically my question is, should I buy the Hawk HPS High Performance Street or the Project U NS Street Pads? They are both the same price. Any input would be appreciated.

I have the Project u ns pads and couldn't be happier. I don't get any brake squeal and there is less dust than the OEM pads.
One of my friends has the Hawk pads and he has one of the most horrible brake squeal ever. Not sure which one he has but I know they are for the brembos whereas mine are not. Hope that helps.

Coming from a person whose had both the Hawks Ceramic HPS and Project Mu NS Street... you couldnt go wrong with either one. They longevity is good, no point in putting a timeline becuase driving conditions/styles/environment/miles all play a role.
I bought my brakes from R&D Factory which is a vendor here.

Hawks vs OEM....!
Let me explain this, my OEM pads lasted just barely 10K miles and I had
dust an inch thick/chips all over my wheels. With my Hawks the dust is
minimal and they make zero noise. I'm at 24K miles on the clock and they're
barely worn. The noise brake pads make can be erased by doing the correct
brake in procedure. I would do this with any pad because the only sound
I want to hear is my exhaust rumble. Find BRAKE IN PROCEDURE by doing a
SEARCH.
