The seat is my major complaint about this car. I'm 5'11", 215 pounds. I wish the seat were wider and the headroom better. I've driven other sports cars where this wasn't an issue. I have short legs and a tall torso; if it was the other way I'd be happier in this car I guess.

You should've typed, "why did you get the car?" You didn't need to add the, "for". Thats like saying, "where did you go at".

As I said in my first post, on a test drive one doens't usually drive for an hour or so. Also I figured I could adjust the seat to the proper configuration at a later time.

I agree Blue Lion, a bit wider would go a long way. My car was a one owner car before I bought it, and it was a female. I am hoping over time my weight will "loosen" it up a bit? Any chance of that? ahah

think i've got you beat. i'm 6'3 and about 265lbs - so i feel your pain.

have you seen this "mod": link

allows you to lower the drivers seat about another half inch for more head room. being able to get the seat back/down further helped me fine tune my butt grove a bit.

big dudes with G's unite!

^ my bad =)

I'm not sure about loosen up the seat. If it loosen up, it will be worsed. Makes your bums go numb.

There was a TSB that had the dealer adding extra padding around the controls that might help you. Yeah, it's not the most comfortable seat for bigger people.

Vhtran, I do have a 4x4 Ram, but its not a commuter and I was messing with you about the word use brother.

Danki, you're probably more correct than anyone else on this thread, haha.

Fish House, yea big dudes with Gs unite...we need our own club, haha. And finally Curt, I didn't know about the TSB, are TSB's done by dealer for free like a recall? I know its a Service Bulletin.

yea and no. a TSB is just Infiniti's way of telling their dealer service departments that they know of a problem and how exactly to fix it. if you're under warranty then yes, most (if not all) of the time they do it under warranty. if you're not in warranty then you'll pay if you want it done.

it's not a recall (which of course they'd fix for free either way).

I will check it out FH, and yea I saw the mod for the height adjustment, I will do it this weekend. I thought maybe it was a DIY for padding around the seat adjustment controls, like what you were saying about the SB.
