My Search Continues...

I'm in search of my next car...

Brilliant Silver 6MT
Premium Package
Navigation
Aero Package

None around. I live in Southern California and everyone's saying a week or two and they should be able to trade one. I don't really want any other color. They were even offering me a decent price on this, too. (over $1000 off sticker)

Guy from Infiniti Dealer calls me in saying he's got one and it's in the showroom. I walk in and it looks weird, maybe cuz it's a 5AT with no Navi. (NOT the car i'm looking for)

So i walk out (hella angry) and continue calling other dealers. This is bullshit. Supposedly there's 2 coming in before the end of the month but most likely i won't get those. Might have to settle for another color. That bites major ***.

Never back down from what you want! I have the same problem, I want a coupe with no sunroof or tire package, after the sales man has tried every tactic to sell me a car I told him "thank you for letting me drive the cars on your lot , buy you do not have what i am looking for". It is the salesman job to really try to sell you the inventory on the lot. i always tell them that that its my way and if it cant be i'll buy another car. I make sure they see me roll up in my 330

Apparently there are NO brilliant silver 6MT's with navi in the western US.

How insane is that (if it's true)

Try Grubbs Infiniti in Texas. I got it from them 2 weeks ago and it was a painless process. $700 for shipping and the car came in excellent condition. I love driving my G.

It can happen. When the shipment that included my DG/G/6MT/Nav/Spoiler got to the east coast last May, I got curious about what else it contained. The largest radius I could search on the Infiniti website for cars was 150 miles, and I used my Manhattan zip code as the starting point. There were more than 250 G35Cs in the shipment, and only one other was configured as mine was (and it was probably pre-sold too). When you combine 6MT (maybe 20% of all coupes) with Nav (a small percentage of that) and a specific color (ditto), you get into the 1% range or so.

I was extremely lucky to have found just what I wanted, already ordered but unsold, at Ramsey Infiniti in NJ last spring. I'd suggest you contact Danny at Grubbs and let him do the looking for you. I bet he'll find exactly what you want and ship it right to you. Best of luck, and you *will* enjoy the car : )

According to Grubbs' site, they almost have the one you're looking for. It doesn't have the rear spoiler, but perhaps you'd let them add it since your car is so rare.

I bet they would beat your price as well.
