I just have a few questions about it:

How's the relibality on the 03 G35?

I like it in red, except for the back end because with the tail lights being all red, in my opinion it doesn't look that good. Do you think it would look better if you painted the area black around the led bulbs in the tail lights? I would not want to black out the lights. I like the car color in grey also.

What mods should I put into it? I was thinking about, 1st, gettin an HKS exhaust, then spoiler and rims, then lambo doors. Is this a good order? I would be puttin all of the mods in over the timespan of a year and a half because I don't have that much money. (I'm in high school) I do not want to touch the engine because it is already fast enough.

You should try using the SEARCH function as many people have posed these types of questions before.

You'll find a lot of great info just browsing as well. I'm sure your ideas might even change with some of the cool setups you come across.

Personally, I love my '03, but would not put lambo doors on it.

 

No its not fast enough. You will have it for two months and be ready for more speed out of it. Trust me.

I'm going to be going to college in florida in the fall, so I was just wondering which would be a better place to buy the g35. My parent's say I should buy it in Florida because it will be in better shape than the cars in New Jersey, where I live, but I find it kind of hard to believe. Are they correct? If I were to get it up in New Jersey, I would get it in June, Late August in Florida. Would it be worth the wate for it "being in better condition"?

Well I always worry about used cars from the NE because of all the salt they put on the roads. If the previous owner didn't take care of it there is the potential for problems later on.

I'd buy it in FL just to save on the money & hassle of shipping it.

 

I would do the following:

to end your headaches and not have to source for parts:

find an red 03-04, with the following
1.factory spoiler
2. 18s or 19s stock rims (so u'll be happy and not want rims right away)
after u get the car
3. overlays ($50-100+)
3. mild drop. or stech springs.depends..but dont forget ur camber kit ($500-750+)
4. this is where u choose. RIMS or ur Exhaust system, or other go-fast, go-show mods....
4. NO LAMBO DOORS Please


i think if you follow these guidelines and dont put "crappy" products. you'll have one great looking G.

Search the forum for inspirations. and also u can gauge the amount of MONEY you'll be spending on your car....

whats why i say, get a nicer looking G from the dealer...so you wont be dissappointed or get the mod bug too fast..lol

shop around...i guess the real question is whats ur budget? or parents budget...and the costs for maintenance and stuff. parts for these cars arent cheap...let alone insurance for a HS or out of high school.

Yeah, the amount of salt they put down is crazy. In my town, they salted the roads for 1 inch of snow that was changing into rain later in the day.

The problem with florida is that there aren't much g's for sale down there, around fort myers. I searched autotrader for the 2003 infiniti g35 coupe with a 50 mile search radius, and it only returned 3 cars. Also, the prices wasn't much cheaper. But idk yet, I still have lots of time to think.

That's quite high for someone who's on a budget. If he's a good shopper, he can find good used springs and camber kits for about $150 each in the marketplace. Depending on the drop, you might not even need a camber kit. DIY labor would be a money saver as well depending if you have the resources and/or know someone.

I bought my 03 Coupe 6MT brand new in 2003. Car has 114,000+ miles and not ONE major issue (a few minor issues here and there i.e. window motors, door lock actuators, etc). Car still runs as good as it did the day I bought it. I love it!!

i was doing the same bro, about 4 years ago now. I went to FIU. But i saw a car in PA the guy had it sitting in his garage it was an 03' in may 2005 with 11k on it. a steal at the time i only paid $26k for the car and it was mint.. ended up driving around the summer time in jersey, August came and it was time for road trip to miami.. best experience.. never had any major problems.. now im done... selling my car, looking at either, used IS-F, c63, m3 or new 335i

Best bet is to find a deal where ever, drive back, ship ect.. good luck with it!
