yup if they do the inspection and find a problem they will and the problem is covered by warranty then everything should be FREE! but if you do the inspection and nothing is wrong or the problem is not covered by warrenty you will get charged for the inspection. but if you come with a certian problem like "my rear axle is clicking" they will check it and lube it up. no charge. like i had a problem (well still do) with my engine making a ticking noise sometimes, i went there and told them that and they lubed my axle saying it might be the axle, didnt fix the problem, i came back twice after that and of course the car doesnt make any noise when your at the dealership!! and they still to this day cant figure out the problem and i've been there like 3 times with no charge.
at least i got a free car wash out it! and they vacumed my car

For the 160 point inspection, they will charge you for inspecting the car because you are not bringing back the car for a "sound that you are hearing". The way they look at it is that if its nothing wrong with the car, they are actually losing out since Infiniti won't compensate for the charges like they do when something is fixed by warranty.
As for the clicking sound, I know that I have searched high and low all over the thread to see if anyone had suggestions and what most people would tell me is that it was the axle that needed lube. Not too sure if you guys are having the same problem but I would hear it whenever I would drive on a bumpy road with the windows rolled down, well they FINALLY found the problem after 4 or five visits of going from Infiniti or the dealership that I bought the car from that replaced the brakes before I bought it. The Service manager checked my car and said that first of all, on order to avoid the clicking sound, you must purchase the performance brake pads from Infiniti, which the other dealership did not. Also the Brake Hardware needed to be lubricated thoroughly. Also the one thing they told me that was making alot of the noise is the fact that my Emergency brake was a little loose and they just tightened it and the clicking went away. Thankfully the dealership payed Infiniti for the brake job, and Infiniti also brought the price down 50% from its original price.

the best way is to tell them to check a random part. Like me, i hear noise coming from the front, but some guys in this forum who have the same problem told me that it's from the rear axle. So i'll have my car checked for the rear axle. Just making things up, to have the dealer check the car. But usually, the dealer will check for other parts as well. Not a full inspection, but at least you can have some other parts inspected and if that part is going bad; and still under the warranty, you can have it fixed also. And as always, you can have your car washed and vaccumed free.

This post is kinda dead, but I am still under my basic warranty and wondering if I can bring it to a Nissan Dealership for the work and service, I think I need new brakes and some other stuff. The nearest Infiniti dealership is 30 min away. Would you recommend going to a Nissan dealership for service.
