Did my dealer rape me or not???

So I was told by my dealer that my car needed rear brake and the rotors needed to be resurfaced. They also said the car needed new belts. So I supplied the pads for them and it was $230.00 for them to resurface the rotors and install the pads. The belts were $50.00 and it was $154.95 for the labor on the belts. I think that they were a little high on the brakes but i think they completely ripped me off on the belts. Whats your guys input?

You got screw hahah sorry man. Next time do it your self or to a trust worthy shop. Dealer makes money from your pocket, not from warranty. I thought the belts were cheaper (not labor).

You're asking the wrong question; "How much did my Stealership rip me off?"

there was another thread around here somewhere about how much dealerships would charge to replace the drive belts and it was usually between $170-200 from what I remember, so not sure if you really got that ripped off (for a dealer). Now you could have done it yourself for $30, but that's a different story.

If anything I think you got hosed on the brakes. Turning the rotors and installing new pads you provided shouldn't cost anywhere near $230. I think they gave me new rotors and pads for about $250 when I first got my car. Now I just do it myself and put better pads/rotors on for a hell of a lot less.

I know a donkey in Mexico that is just WAITING for you! lol.

Dude, for that much money, you could have bought the tools and done the job yourself. It's usually $20-30 to get the rotors turned. The belt takes about 15 mins to replace, and the pads are sitting there when you get to the rotors..

To get the rotors turned off the car yes but not while doing a brake service and i would love to see you change the 2 belts on this car in 15 minutes.
