My new coupe!

hey guys, Not my first time on a forum and not the first time around modding a car. but this is my first post here. I picked up a 2006 g35 coupe 6mt with Nav, and blue tooth in diamond graphite. And it only has 1500 miles on it!!!!
Any way my last car was a CLS Acura with SC meth injection ETC.. with 400 WHP and 320 lb ft. I want to start some where with bolt ons like exhaust headers CAI wheels springs.... shorty shifty maybe....ive been searching and like the HKS high power the best. Is that a cat back? also anyone can recommend some good headers that woul be great. What do guys usually do when putting exhaust? muffs only? or is it worth doing a cat back for more gains?? do headrs and cat back make significant gains? (like 20-30WHP)? Thanks for your help ahead of time. also wheres the best place to buy em? and good vendors to buy this stuff? thanks!

Dan-

Welcome! a MD plenum spacer should be on that list. Catback exhaust for sure not just mufflers. The marketplace would be a good place to start looking for parts. Vendor section has some good deals. Also, Tony or Rick @ Riverside Infiniti have great deals on a lot of aftermarket and OEM parts for our cars. Anyways GL and happy modding.

First mods on my ca were: plenum, spacer and z-tube. Car felt stronger, but not stupid fast. Next was a Stillen intake, didn't feel much difference except for sound. Last month, added Bassani full catback, which feels like it freed up a significant amount of torque. Thought about going with F.I. cats next and a tune but, going to finish my audio and add a 12" sub and an amp. GL with modding the car. My thoughts on the mods, so far, car feels much faster, but not really fast. If you want more h.p., go f.i. and call it a day. Enjoy and post pics of your ride asap.

New Guy....post no. 1 and more to come!

WELCOME TO DRIVER, DAN! Nice....finding an '06 with that few miles on the clock. MotorDyne makes what they call MREV2 and their 5/16" spacer that is the best value for you $. Proven 20 to 30 RWHP gains! Here's their
# 661-993-5111. Exhaust, most of us buy/install the cat-back systems since
that's where the most gains are not to mention sweet sounds. I'm on my 5th
and final system, HKS. It sounds..looks and is made Great! Sure wasted a
lot of $ making up my mind.... Good Luck Dan....enjoy your new ride!
Gary

Yeah im def going to buy a MD spacer. Well see how much money I have laying around after that. I do want to take it slow rather then spending every penny I have on the car.

What kind of sound do u want? Greddy will be pretty aggresive and loud, HKS sounds amazing but not super loud, Tanabe has a beautiful tone while staying classy and not too loud.
