I decided **** it... go big or go home... jus going to save for the motordyne setup with art pipes.. not too audible at cruising speeds right?

Mods

I have a 05 g35 auto coupe and these are the mods I have done
5/16 MD
Z-tube
Rev-up airbox
K&N drop in
Rear muffler delete
I have about 1k to spend right now but am not sure what the best next step would be. Any advise would be very much appreciated!!! Sorry to start a new thread but I didn't find one to fit this in.

Transgo valve body upgrade and associated ATF cooling upgrade- but yeah my next choice would be a proper exhaust. I'd buy used and look for a full catback and some HFCs.

Thing with that is you need a tune to get any benefit out of that (not to mention your other mods)- which all told will take you quite a ways beyond a thousand. The transgo all told would be about 1000 and doesn't require a tune. Best upgrade I ever did for the AT.

It's funny- when I look at these 1000 dollar budget threads or so... every suggestion is valid but all of them together are about 5k.

Oh, I thought he meant $1000 per mod.

heres a list of mods good for autos
5/16 spacer
engine grounding kit from scexex or w.e his name is from here.
art pipes
true dual exhaust
pulley set
crankshaft
transgo kit
orsris tune?

im sure if you do all the basic bolts on, then an aftermarket intake should be better??? look into the injen sp series one. it sits behind the fender wall for cold air instead of being in engine bay.

ok so to answer your question for 1 grand i would do

art pipes, and engine grounding kit. do some research on grounding kit, basically its suppose to give the car a smoother shift / tiny bit faster shifts. parts will be 650$ for both, and install will prob be about 250-350$ so theres ur 1 grand
im sure im missing a few things atm

Upgrades to G35 A/T coupe 2004

I'm new to this forum, but I have had my G35 for years (2004 A/T coupe - all stock). I have made few exterior upgrades but never did any performance upgrades because I was planning on selling it and getting a new car. Recently, I decided to keep it but now I want to do some performance upgrades. I want to start modding piece by piece and I was wondering what y'all thought would be the best upgrade to start with on a currently all stock vehicle. I was thinking either exhaust or cold air intake? Thanks for any suggestions!

I realize that almost is everything is listed in this thread, I've researched all of that already. I'm just looking for suggestions on which upgrade I should do FIRST. There's just so many options and upgrades listed I'm not sure what my first plunge should be.. haha.

well how much money do you have to play around with?its really up to you. everybody goes for what they want to mod first. for me it was an exhaust. for some it may be wheels. for some it may be plastidipping every fuking surface of their poor car... your call

Let's just say $500. I only want to do performance. I just got my rims done not to long ago, they look sick.. Check em out in my garage. Eventually I'm going to get the black ccfl halo headlights off of ebay but that's beside the point right now haha. Right now I want more speed and I want my car louder, so that's why I was thinking exhaust as the first purchase.

No to the lights. Awful idea.
I don't even want to respond to you anymore once I read that-no but Srs don't buy those chit lights lol

Start with the MD spacer/z tube combo and save for a used exhaust. That'll be about $300 or a little more right there.
Later on (if you have a revup (6mt 05+) get a mrev2.
If not don't bother

No knockoffs. Save up little by little and buy quality.
