I'm not sure of the exact details anymore but I believe that the copper iso only really does anything if you live in really cold climates...

They say to use it if it snows in your area.

 

i doesnt ever hurt to have it so better to be safe then sorry...but yes you are correct if it gets below 50 degrees ever you should have it and copper iso makes it so much less of a hassle so that you dont have to worry about turning the ccv on and off depending on the temp that day

 

50 degrees is pretty extreme dude... Its there to prevent icing and unless the basic laws of physics have changed since I was in school it freezes at 32 degrees...

I live in WA state and it gets cold off and on for about 4 months out of the year. So I open the CCV in November and close it in feburary or march. Takes probably 30 seconds each time... no hassle.

Yeah they're all pretty easy to do.

 

i was also thinkin about painting my wheels black...is this something that you need to do before the tire is put on? i seen a pic of a BO with OEM rims painted black...looked pretty sweet.

 

Def. would be a lot easier if the tires were off, but has been done w/ tires on.

Well I've never done it before, but I saw it done on here before, just can't remember which thread it was. You'll have to do a search.

From what I can remember, newspaper was used to cover the tire and taped up with painter's tape. Remember to cover the inner barrel as well if you don't wish to color that as well. It should be very straightforward.

 

Anyone on here have pics of a black coupe where the calipers have been painted red?

That would be awesome. I've really been debating this. Did you use a G2 epoxy or DupliCote?
