Question High school/College student looking to buy a G35

Hello,
I am new to this forum and was looking for some help. I'm aware there is a search engine and everything, this isn't the first forum I've been associated with.
I a senior this year in high school and will be going to college next year. My parents and I will be buying a car for me around graduation time in May. I'm very interested in the G35 coupe, preferably an '05 or '06, and I was wondering if I can get some pros/cons from some owners. As well as the best prices, places to buy, what to look for, what not to look for, etc... I would really like pearl white on Tan with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Numerous threads exist under search that will lead you in the right direction here. Countless threads discussing prices, features, well, you guessed it. GL with your search.

I'm a college student as well working 2 jobs, volunteering, and still going to school full time.
I also have the G35 coupe , Liquid Platinum with stone interior.
It's automatic so I cannot help you search in terms of the car you'd like since I have no idea if you wanted sport or premium package? (Mine has both along with RAS).
I love my car and it's never let me down, even with my scary adventure of a sudden snow storm last week here and I had to endure it with summer high performance tires, it has never let me down.
Some people complain of the Bose, but I find it adequate, I do not have any dash rattles or weird sounds, I am just bringing it in on Wednesday for warranty work (driver side window actuator is loose), the gas mileage is alright but lately with my Z-tube installed I've been pushing the gas a bit more late at night on empty roads, just to hear that VROOOOO!!
Sometimes looking at the rear of my car gets me so good, I forget that my fiancee is right next to me
Im KIDDING .
All in all though, the G35 coupe for me is a blast to drive (for auto), damn good looks, comfy seats, and a good oem exhaust tone.
I love my 06 since the headlight and taillights were redone a bit (projectors, and tails have the keyless stuff and different look to it - sort of has circular indentations in the lights).
I like the 06 dash more as well since the clock is more in line with the rest of the dash, but either one works for me.
My only complaint would have to be ...

honestly well for me, nothing.
not a single thing.

Hope you get your G, and as an early congratulations to your graduation, I want to say, "welcome to Driver!"

Welcome. Pros are looks, comfort, ect.
Cons are gas mileage, insurance, ect.

This is coming from a senior in HS as well.

Asking that question on a G35 forum. What do you expect us to say?

im a 2nd year in college now, i got my car this past summer.
and honestly i love it, it is a bit scary sometimes to park in the lots due to a few careless drivers sometimes. but it is definitely awesome to have it hear, i get so many compliments and the number of head turns is uncountable.

plus how can you go wrong with the power (for people our age who havent been driving tons of faster cars, this car is quick as hell imo) and the SOUND and LOOKS.
its a win win win

I second this ^^
I am in college and am quite weary when I have to park it and leave it for many hours and in the fall i even got a nice big ding from some idiot. Insurance though is quite high and the gas mileage is poor, but it is alot of fun to have, and that makes it worth it imo.

Junior in high school and nothing beats it stock...even just a few mods, tinted windows, painting the rims, debadge, grill, it adds just an extra emphasis...plus, how can you go wrong with the 6mt and oem exhaust?

I'm a senior in high school and I have an 05 6MT. Get one, you wont regret it, just don't over estimate your driving skills, these are hard cars to drive...really. It's not the fastest so if thats what your looking for get a evo or a civic lol

P.S having one in high school is a super chick magnet

Maybe you need a bit more experience. I don't find the vehicle difficult to drive at all in any sense.

Having one in high shcool will lead you to getting something referenced in my sig

When you put a spoon engine, twin turbo setup, high flow cats, this crap, that crap, and drop in a 400 lb audio setup
