This makes no sense to me, but they stated it has something to do with the tranny fluid NEEDING to have the metal shavings mixed in. Being that the case, then would that not make it that I can no longer change out my tranny fluid ever??? Just doesnt seem right.
Hmmm metal shavings mix in eh.....that's horse^hit...u need get the tranny oil changed to get rid of the filings...don't believe what they say...dump old oil out new in it'll make a difference... what year is your car?

My warranty is good until 2014 or 100K miles which is good enough reason
for me to stick with Nissan fluids. I'd love to use a better synthetic brand
trans fluid but it's not worth the difference, if there is one!

To the member that takes his G35C to Sears or PepBoys for service, you
gotta be either nuts or cheap! I took my wife's Vette to Sears for a new
battery, watching their mechanics work was like watching a monkey f^ck
a football....those are not qualified mechanics, not in anyone's book!

Gr8huntr: My coupe is an 04 with 50100 miles on it.

GaryC: Never took my G to Sears or Pepboys, just heard about their policy through the grapevine. Friends who did take or at least attempt to take their cars.

But this stuff I heard never really made sense to me at all. I would think you would want all the gunk out of the oil/fluid/etc. and not keep particles of whatever swimming around in there. Afterall, isnt that one of the purposes of changing out oils aside from viscosity breakdown?

I think that is the most outrageous statement changing old fluid with new is bad? why? I have never once seen a reason why it could be bad as long as you use proper fluid and a clean method making sure you refill to the proper level how is that bad? I have flushed mine it seemed like it helped a little. Made me feel better.

So to flush the AT all you do is...

1. Drain the AT fluid
2. Refill the AT fluid
3. Let it flow through the AT
4. Drain the AT Fluid
5. Refill final time with AT

Thats it???

you asked me how is it possible??? Its not me who says its bad its our peers. I did the search, even some infiniti dealers no longer do flushes according to members here. I dunno man, i always thought they were good. But some folks think otherwise. I think im going to do the vacum hose thing, and take oil out of the converter, and the drain plug. ANd thendo it again? What do you think. 06 g35 coupe.

kind of. You have to take it out of two places. One place, the oil pan behind the engine oil pan. and you have to take the oil out of the converter.
