I heard that Nissan/Infiniti is not doing too well on sales either in this economy. They are evening mentioning the fact that they might need to borrow money from the government. They had a list of the top ten cars that hold their resale value, and Infiniti I think was at number 7 or 8 and Nissan was at 10. I mean at least our vehicles are on the list, but the fact is that Honda is doing a little better than most other vehicles in holding up their resale value. Until this economy gets better, we won't see much of an improvement in that. Oh and on another note, I think that the G35>G37. I went to go check one out when I was servicing my vehicle and I just didn't like the whole multi color gauges, call me old fashioned but I prefer the red and orange gauges. And Exterior, G35 in for the win.

If you're looking to do some trolling, this post might get you further in the G37 forum

i know i'm off-topic, but what the hell??? i need a decoder to figure out what the hell that means...

to the op, for the most part all vehicles have taken a big hit in resale value... the only ones that i've found keep their value really well are bmw's (even when compared to other german luxury cars)... on the other hand, if you are buying, then it's a great time to find good deals as some people are desperate to sell (i just bought a porsche carrera $9k off book value, in pristine condition)...

Not to mention the tires...I needed winter tires and rims ($2200) because the G35 Coupe was undrivable in the snow.. I also now need to replace the summer tires which are only a few years old (25000k) which will cost another $1600.

The car I owned before the G35 Coupe was a 2001 Prelude, tires were only $800 a set and I didn't need winter tires and they lasted a lot longer.

The G35's Insurance (with even more coverage) was cheaper.

Our resale values are GREAT. The economy is NOT.

That's the difference.

i'm wondering if the g37c is more reliable in terms of breakdowns and common problems, also i hope they made it more affordable to maintain!

I doubt they made it more affordable to maintain.

We track reliability. Results for the G35 and G37 here:

Infiniti G35 / G37 reliability comparisons

So far we're seeing slightly higher repair rates for the current car than for the first generation. But the "common problems" don't seem all that common. Either that or, once they were taken care of on the older cars, haven't reappeared. So they've fallen out of the survey window.
